WordPress 2.4 Skipped next release is WordPress 2.5

After the recent release of 2.3.2 and with the large changes it been declared that Wordpress 2.4 will be skipped and the next release official version for release will be WordPress 2.5. Here’s what Matt Mullenwerg has to say:
“In light of the big changes happening in the codebase and admin section, we’re going to push back the next release to be aimed for early March. This is the timeframe when 2.5 was originally schedule for, so we’re treating the originally planned 2.4 in December as a skipped release, as a result of both the holidays and the large changes which we weren’t able to start on until late October. There’s some good stuff in the oven, and we don’t want to rush it. The new release shall be called 2.5. Various official docs and roadmaps will be updated in due course.”
After checking the Wordpress Roadmap the dates shown are possible release dates now
2.4 - January 24, 2008
2.5 - April 1, 2008
2.6 - July 3, 2008
Found some interesting pages regarding Wordpress 2.4, The Admin Panel Preview was leaked out and can be found at this demo page and there’s also video too.
So now we can track Milestones for Wordpress 2.5.
