Time management is Key to success in blogging

I continually find this one of the biggest problems with myself, and that’s having the time to keep up with my blogging everyday. Mix that in with my 6 day a week full time job I begin to find it harder and harder to maintain my level. Everyday I need to write an article, surf my fellow bloggers sites, do some link love around the Blogosphere and may more.
I read some suggestions on time management from other bloggers and added a few of my own to make a list of tips to manage your blogging life.
Planning Head
I try and do this in 2 parts, first i will plan and write down what topics and which day i want to post them. I will target to complete them early in the week, not all the posts will be completed 100% but have them 95% complete awaiting final touch up. Generally i target by Tuesday to write as many of this weeks post that I can. But be aware sometimes a topic will appear out of nowhere at the last minute.
Then i will plan the rest the week around my other activities like commenting on other blogs, researching on the web and any other online projects.
Reduce the number of posts
Look at maybe posting on weekdays and resting on weekends, hence only 5 posts a week, not all blogs require you to post 7 days a week and you may find with a little experiment that there no difference in the number of readers when you post 5 days a week.
Feed Readers
This is probably one of the most time saving features you can use, image having 70-90 blogs to look at everyday, with something like Google Reader you can view the 90 blogs within minutes without needing to load up every blog and manually check
Write short articles
Everyone enjoys short posts and it saves a lot of time writing.
Check your stats less often
This I am guilty, I check them several times a day. If you can check once a day or even once a week, this will save you valuable time to work on your blog. Every time you check the stats your are just wasting your own time and this includes your Adsense earnings too.
Taking time away
You may think it does not help in time management but you will come back refreshed and maybe full of ideas, so don’t be afraid to rest for a day or two. I regularly go scuba diving to take a break from it.
Don’t get sucked in
If you find a blog you like don’t get sucked in for hours reading all articles you will need to judge and read what only required.
Enjoy your blogging
When you enjoy your blogging you will find you are far more better in your time management, and will complete much faster so try and always enjoy and never do for sake of it.

Continueing with your tips to success in blogging, I like to add the following point. If you want to see good results, make sure you find time to network. It’s good to find time to build quality blog posts, but I think that networking with other bloggers in the same area will really help. They might provide you with some guest posts and or links that will boost the traffic to your blog. I suggest you to read the How to contact a blogger at http://marketing.fruitfultime.com/2007/10/06/how-to-contact-a-blogger/
Fruitfultime Markerting , thanks for the tip, i read it and agree with your comments, especially the part about spamming bloggers….
I definitely believe in playing with the number of days to publish a post. Recently since I’ve been balancing a lot of plates, I’m experimenting with writing longer posts but with less frequency for some sites. Although, one of my sites requires constant updates (7 days a week).
Very lucid presentation on time in blogging. I would almost completly with all written in wonderful post. My contribution to the theme would be focused on the very day, when blogger decides to start publishing on the Net. If (s)he doesn’t see time in next one year or more to publish post at least once a week, and not just any post, but interesting and different from average patterens in the “neighbourhood”, then maybe it is beter not to start blogging at all.
Not that I would like to discourage some future writers, but yes time is everything and if you don’t have it, this activity (blogging) is not for you.
