Stumbleupon: My story so far…

If you're new here, you may want to browse my articles and if you like them please subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Stumbleupon came to my attention along time ago but i never really put in any effort before the start of October when i did a post called Stumbleupon- simple tips to increased traffic. Since then it’s changed my blog, i have gained huge amounts of traffic for a little amount of extra work. As its been 3 weeks since i did my earlier post it’s time for a recap and review of Stumbleupon.

What happened in last 3weeks?

You heard it from many people before, they all claim to get hundreds if not thousands of page views a day, i was a little skeptical to start with but now after 3 weeks i can truly say it works. My total visitors has increased no end since this month started and my top stumble post actually got 1186 hits, and my top 5 stumbled posts achieved 2370. So for the average blogger who’s looking for visitors his will help you for your alexa.

So What have I learnt?

Well, that’s about the quantity of the traffic.

What about the quality of the traffic?

      I don’t think it’s targeted.

I’m a big fan of stumble upon myself. I just haven’t incorporated it into my site yet:

      Entering Contests

Stumbleupon has been kind to our site thus far. although we are not members of Stumbleupon, but twice so far somebody “Stumbleupon” our article and added it to the community bringing traffic our way.

I have never tried using StumbleUpon to drive traffic to my sitebut reading your site I think I may give it a try later. One of the things that has so far stopped me from using it to be honest is the fact that last time I looked I couldnt find a browser toolbar for Safari ? Anyone know of one ?

      Cheers

Yea, I saw that one already. Unfortunately the link it refers you to no longer exists…

Looks like I have to carry on firing up Firefox if I want to use StumbleUpon….

But I’m getting little-to-none traffic from StumbleUpon now because I stopped stumbling myself. I stopped after finish writing 10 Must-read Articles to Become an Expert Stumbler because it’s too risky. It’s risky to label yourself spammer. Maybe I’m just too careful?

      Great article there. Stumbled!

However, stumblexchange doesn’t seem to be working. Has it been inactivated?
