This week was a busy one for me, not talking about the mad rush for christmas but my blog had two major events, one being the close of my dreaded 1st contest and the 2nd was the definitive list of Stumbleupon Articles.
Finally my dreaded 1st contest finished after 50 days and 300 comments later, the two winners have been paid and the proof of payment can be found here. So with a little spare time I went to Google and did a little search and was surprised too see that my starting and closing article for the comment contest is ranked one and two.
So with this I did a search for “Stumbleupon articles” and found it to be ranked 5 and 6 with Google and with the other search engine Yahoo it was ranked 6 too, this was a bigger surprise as I understand “comment contest” is quite a niche but “stumbleupon articles” I would of imagined it to be more competitive.
So back to my love link part of the post and again its my turn to thank the people who have contributed to my blog in the way of commenting.
First I got mention Guru , this guy been awesome on my blog as of recent, he is by far my best commentator for the month of December. You may think he’s just been spamming me cause of my contest but he has wrote some quality comments, so kindly drop by this blog.
Just like bring to your attention that Blogging straight forward is holding a contest of this own, the contest is straight forward in that all you have do is write an review of the contest and give two links to this home page and one to the contest. Entries close on January 20th and 6 winners will be drawn.
a1-fan-fun asks us the question should comments be moderated? this can be a touchy subject and should be done with caution, on a personnel note if its spam then I will delete it, if there a typo just amend it, if it’s questionable content I will notify the commentator and discuss and if its valid then the comment will be posted or delete with the commentators permission.
Poeticmoney has unmonetized his blog in the effort to focus on increasing this readers and this is a good approach and I wish him luck.
Sutocu gives us some simple tips to get our selfs out of the sandbox with Google.
We can’t be near Christmas and not mention it at least once so here goes, Vivien gives us some creative christmas solutions.
tw3o asks us one question, Just how many ads do you need? he has an interesting argument and is making me think whether I should reduce mine down too 4.
