My greatest achievements

After reading Simone’s comment on one of my posts earlier in the week did i find out about the “My best blogging achievement” group writing post, so i sat at my laptop to reflect and it got me to think what is my best achievement to date? so i grabbed my trusty pen and paper and started to list out my achievements and like most bloggers i came up with this list:

Completing my first Post or maybe my 100th ?

Reaching 100 RSS feeds

Made my first dollar online?

My first contest?

Alexa below 150,000?

Getting my PageRank

And list could go on….but one by one i crossed them out, So i decided finally settled on my friends and comments were my achievement.

I know most bloggers wake up in the morning and say they must earn $100 today and don’t really care what they do to earn it, they will ask their readers join the program knowing too well the chance for them to break even is highly unlikely but they only care on getting there own money. Other bloggers its more on the indicator statistics like Pagerank, Technorati or RSS feeds they want the best they can achieve.

But I have to agree with InspirationBit on that it’s the readers or fellow bloggers who leave comments, interaction with the readers and the knowing that you may have helped them achieve a better blog applying what you have taught them.

I am a relative newbie in the blogosphere and I have found tremendous help and support from others bloggers, my list of friends grows by the day and seeing them repeatably coming back for more inspires me to get up of my ass to continue to blog.

In these friends such as etienneteo, betshopboy and LawrenceCheok all from Singapore are very helpful and of course there’s many more. When Betshopboy needed some help with this blog template as will use the same one i helped , little did i know i would require his help only the next week. These are the moments when we realize our blogging achievements are our friends.

Everyday is a blogging achievement in some way as we all reach some form of a milestone but i really find my comments as my true achievement in knowing that people actually learn from what I write about…So for this I like to thank everyone who has commented on my blog for making it what it is today…

So to conclude this post my greatest blogging achievement is my new friends and the comments i receive from others.

Thank you, Simon, for taking time to participate in my group writing project. Keep on the good job you are doing with this blog, and may your new friends be forever.

Fellow blogger friends are indeed a source of great strength in times of needs.

I’m currently experiencing the infamous Blogger’s Block and have run out of ideas and the urge to write and express my thoughts.

It is through the encouragement of my blogging friends that I hang on to this difficult period, while I try to rediscover my blogging mojo.

I’m not surprised that so many of the entries in this group writing contest point in the same direction. As bloggers, we all love interacting with each other from around the world.

I suppose one reason is because the actual blog posting/typing is usually done alone and it feels solitary. Yet, afterward people reply and it no longer feels like you were simply tossing a message in a bottle to the sea.

I’m glad you achieved the list above, which I haven’t. I hope in a few months time I would achieve the same as you.

That list of yours give me a good view into my “to-do list”. Unfortunately I was too busy these few days and totally forgot about the group writing project due date :(

Thanks and I hope we will be closer friends.

      Regards,
      Binh

Simon, I’d like to second your sentiment that “i really find my comments as my true achievement in knowing that people actually learn from what I write about.”

Comments are hugely important to me because a comment indicates that the post was not only read, but also inspired a response in the reader.

True .. The comments you get on a blog are awesome .. Thats cos you could even have lots of traffic, who just pass .. But then when someone goes through the process of filling out a form to talk to you about the post you made needs to be earned .. When i first started with my personal blog, it was my friends who would reply to every single blog post of mine very patiently…
