Over the last few weeks we have looked at social networking to improving your traffic to your blog though Technorati and MyBlogLog and another way to break into the blogging world as a newbie or veteran is too leave comments on other people’s blogs. This is paramount to getting yourself noticed by others. Try find out who are the big players in your targeted niche and study their blog and why they have a huge following? Ask yourself a few questions like…
Why is their blog different to yours?
How they relate to there readers?
And please don’t rush in and say “nice article” or “I agree” nobody likes that, would you?
So after studying carefully their blog it’s time for us to leave a comment or two on their blog. Remember a great comment needs opinions and knowledge on the topic in question but not necessary to agree with their view. This will normally get their attention and they may just reply to your comment and start a conversation.
Personally I feel leaving comments on other peoples blogs will help grow your blog as it starts to build a relationship between you and blogger, over time they will value your comments and will happy read your blog for good information and return the favour.
Lastly when you got this stage you will need to have good content on your blog.
A bonus to when your leaving comments is that in some blog sites will give you the backlink to your site and this will increase your PageRank….
